FIFTY3 FRIDAYS: AT GLASTONBURY 2022 – PART TWO
So, “GLA-STON-BURY!!!”You hear that a lot here. I could open a virtual savings account with all the pounds I mentally collect every time the said location is bellowed from a stage. It is often accompanied by a discourse about how this is the greatest moment of my/our life, musical career, weekend etc. I’m still waiting for someone leftfield to read out the GPS coordinates instead but it never comes; just Gla-ston-bury. Though, to be parochial, there are some variations. It’s

FIFTY3 FRIDAYS: REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL?
At the start of the week, Britain got a salutary reminder that we can’t keep pretending we are collectively doing anything like enough to mitigate climate change. As we wilted in the unfamiliar territory of temperatures approaching 40 °C and homes were destroyed in random and worryingly small-scale wildfires, you wondered whether it was even wise to conserve water and let the garden go brown. FIFTY3 FRIDAYS: ROCK AND A HARD PLACE
This week I ‘are been mostly bogged down with trying to write some kind of report about Glastonbury 2022. Expect it sometime next week as it is/was/might still be far too long and rambling [and unfinished – Ed]. In addition, my feet still haven’t recovered from the rock-hard terrain at the Festival and as we all know this has a clear and detrimental effect on your typing fingers. And brain. Trying a bit of post-truth on you there but you’re not buying it, I know. Second thing

FIFTY3 FRIDAYS: LATEST SPOTIFY PLAYLIST
A mini Fifty3 Fridays today as I work on my Glastonbury Festival report which should now be posted in the coming week; a ducks not quite in a row scenario as things stand today. This gives me a mild excuse to highlight a regular feature of this site in the shape of a monthly Fifty3 Fridays Spotify Playlist. The latest one includes all the songs in order from June’s Fifty3 Fridays as long as they are listed on Spotify, of course. June’s Playlist kicks off with Sweet Billy Pil
